SusDA works to mitigates to impact of climate change on nature and communities. Some initiatives under climate change include

  • Improve rural communities’ resilience and adaptation to climate change
  • Transform waste into clean energy (We transform organic waste into biogas and organic fertilizers. The biogas is used for cooking and to produce electricity and other forms of energy).

The brunt of climate change in Africa is already felt my women and children, displaced people. This is experienced in the form of droughts, floods, food and water scarcity and rising sea levels. Adopting environmentally friendly practices can also foster innovation and create new green jobs. Overall, going green is a crucial step towards mitigating the effects of climate change and ensuring a sustainable future for Africa and the world.
