Ammenities Basic to Sustainable Development
Clean energy, water, and sanitation are essential components of sustainable development. They play a vital role in promoting economic growth, reducing poverty, improving health outcomes, and protecting the environment. Here’s how each of these elements contributes to sustainable development:
- Climate Change Mitigation: Clean energy sources such as renewable energy (solar, wind, hydro, biomass, geothermal) produce lower greenhouse gas emissions compared to fossil fuels.
- Health and Hygiene: Access to clean water and sanitation facilities is crucial for public health. Safe drinking water and proper sanitation reduce the spread of waterborne diseases, leading to improved health outcomes, especially for children.
