We’re thrilled to announce the official launch of the S-Cool Links Project, a collaborative initiative between the Sustainable Development Alliance (SusDA) and VVOB – education for development. This exciting project empowers teachers and students across Ghana to lead the charge for climate action—starting right from their classrooms.

What is the S-Cool Project?

S-Cool is a global initiative that connects teachers through an interactive online platform to promote Climate Change Education (CCE) in primary and secondary schools. It’s designed to equip educators and learners with the tools, knowledge, and network to take meaningful climate action in their schools and communities.

Through the platform, participating teachers and schools will gain access to:

  • Accurate and up-to-date climate change information
  • Ready-to-use lesson plans and inspiration for hands-on classroom projects
  • Free learning resources and online training opportunities
  • Guidance to design and implement school-based climate action projects
  • A global community for sharing experiences and impact
  • Funding support for implementing local climate initiatives

SusDA’s Role

In 2025, SusDA, through the Suahunu eco-club activity is partnering with VVOB to support at least 10 schools in Ghana to implement impactful CCE projects. These projects will be led by teachers and learners, with an emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and local relevance. All participating schools will also contribute to the global S-Cool Links platform by sharing their climate action journeys, challenges, and successes.

What’s Expected from Schools?

We’re inviting committed educators and school leaders to:

  • Actively participate in climate education activities
  • Design and carry out meaningful, student-led climate projects
  • Share project outcomes with other educators around the world

Why This Matters

Climate change is not a distant threat—it’s a present-day challenge affecting every community. Through the S-Cool Links Project, we aim to build a generation of climate-conscious leaders who are informed, resilient, and proactive.

Together, we can transform our schools into hubs of climate action and innovation. Let’s make schools cool for climate!
